My Story

I have spent much of my adult life working, raising a family, volunteering, learning, and trying to leave the organizations and communities around me a little better than I found them.

Professionally, my career has taken me through hospitality, technology, and healthcare. Along the way, I discovered that the work I found most rewarding usually had something in common: solving problems, helping people, improving how things work, and contributing to something larger than myself.

Now, after more than three decades in the workforce, I have the opportunity to ask a different question: How do I want to use my experience, time, and energy in the years ahead?

A New Chapter

Now in early retirement, I'm approaching this transition deliberately: volunteering, learning more about the nonprofit sector, developing new skills, connecting with people doing meaningful work, and staying open to where this exploration leads.

I'm not trying to recreate the career I just left. I'm exploring how the experience I've accumulated can be useful in new ways, while making room for service, curiosity, community, family, and the things that make life richer.

Beyond Work

I live in the Denver area with my wife and am the father of adult children. Outside of work and volunteering, I enjoy fishing, cycling, reading, music, cooking, travel, and continuing to learn about subjects ranging from history to emerging technology.

I'm increasingly appreciative of the simple things: time outdoors, a good book, discovering something new, sharing a meal, and spending time with people I care about.
